Gunhild BORGGREEN
Gunhild Borggreen is one of the organizers of the seminar. She is Assistant Professor at the Section of Visual Culture, Department of Arts and Cultural Studies, University of Copenhagen, and has been working with contemporary Japanese art and visual culture for many years. Among research topics is the interrelation between visual art and cultural events such at the International World Exposition in Osaka in 1970, Expo 70. Some of this research is published in "Ruins of the Future: Yanobe Kenji Revisits Expo '70", Performance Paradigm. Journal of Performance and Contemporary culture, No. 2, March 2006.
Apart from previsous research stays in Japan, Gunhild visited Osaka for a one month research trip in 2006 on the invitation from professor Nakagawa at Osaka City University, and supported by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. Download report from the trip here.
