Abstract:

Fixed gear an urban fixture?

The presentation will focus on three different ways in which visibility is lend to fixed gear bicycle practices in Copenhagen: alley-cat races, fixed-gear bicycle polo and the upcoming project of building a open-air velodrome in the city of Copenhagen.

Short CV: 

Henriette Aartsen has a master degree in Language and Culture studies, with special interest in gender studies. She is currently the producer of the Bicycle Film Festival Copenhagen.
